However, due to the low viscosity of the saline solution, liquid dripping occurred at the outlet of the faucet after pouring was completed. By installing a sanitary swivel joint (No. 30 elbow type) at the outlet of the tank, it became possible to change the direction of the piping without damaging the helical gasket, eliminating the liquid dripping. We would like to introduce a case study from a cheese factory of a company that has been manufacturing and selling dairy products for over 100 years. Soft solid natural cheese is transported through piping to a heating oven. It is introduced from the top of the oven, and when closing the oven lid or tilting, it is necessary to move the piping horizontally. The conventional method of removing and reattaching standard fixed piping clamps to change the piping position was inefficient and required improvement. When blending several types of cheese, there were many points for attaching and detaching clamps during piping changes, which was inefficient, so we introduced "sanitary swivel joints." We would like to introduce a case where a robot is used to dispense sauces and creams onto food items flowing on a conveyor belt. Previously, only hoses were used, but we installed sanitary swivel joints at both ends of the hose connection between the dispensing part of the arm and the replenishment pot, reducing the strain on the hose. The dispensing action onto food items on the conveyor belt requires the robot arm to follow precise and rapid movements. As a result, the load on the hose accumulated, leading to damage. In the transport line of food packaging machinery (testing equipment), there was a process for drawing up paste-like raw materials from a drum pipe. A flexible hose was adopted for drawing up from the drum pipe, but during an internal operational test, an accident occurred where the base of the hose was damaged. It seems that the high viscosity of the fluid and the corresponding pressure were the causes of the damage.
